It hasn’t been too long to the influx of Ahad Raza Mir to the Pakistani entertainment industry, but he has certainly set firm roots for himself. The young actor has dazzled everyone with his performances in dramas like Yakeen Ka Safar, and his film debut last year with Parwaaz Hai Junoon. And now he has got everyone with their eyes peeled for his performance in Aangan as the sober yet expressive, Jameel.
And last year, we also witnessed him pushing boundaries with his singing talent, when he made his Coke Studio alongside Momina Mustehsan.
Wow, is there something he can’t do?
Having said that, it looks like Mir doesn’t want to restrict himself to the local industry when it comes to performing. It has just been revealed that the actor is branching out to a global platform and performing as Shakespeare’s Hamlet on the Canadian stage!
How exciting is that?!
The actor also took to Instagram to confirm the deal, and share a glimpse of what to expect from his character. Be assured that his fans are totally in love!

Moreover, the Shakespeare Company also shared the first look of the character, expressing how thrilled they are to have him on board!
Reportedly, the company contacted him three years ago to make him bag the lead, which evidently shows their level of commitment to the star.
Also, the actor is apparently on cloud nine with this project and is bound to add his experience from film and TV to his performance in a theatre. However, the actor is not new to theatre and has given stellar performances in the past with plays like West Side Story, Man Equals Man, and Jebat.
It is extremely rare for a local artist to delve into a theatre on an international level, hence, it is a pretty big deal for Mir. And with this venture, he would also inspire upcoming talent to not confine themselves to the status quo, and branch out their wings to endless possibilities.
The play is likely to be set in motion from March 20th to April 13th this year. However, how do you like the first look of his character? Let us know in the comments!
