Priyanka Chopra made waves this year by getting hitched to Nick Jonas, and astonishing the whole world. While some were extremely happy for the adorable couple, some felt necessary to troll them over their age gap and racial differences. However, the couple paid no heed to negativity and finally tied the knot in a posh ceremony in Jodhpur.
Quite recently, New York Mag’s The Cut posted a heinous article, calling the actress “a global scam artist who tricked young Nick, 26, into a lifelong commitment when all he really wanted was a fling,” and a lot more distasteful things. The journalist and her words faced immense backlash from the fans and supporters, which forced the publication to delete their post. But the internet is quick to grab on some receipts…
Don't give that filth extra clicks, it's what they want. If you are curious about the breathtakingly sloppy failure of an article by a bitter NYmag "writer", here you go. It is a steaming shit-pile of unsubstantiated, half-baked conjecture from someone who is obsessed with Kim K. pic.twitter.com/exPTZUrMWV

“All Nick wanted was a possible fling with Hollywood’s latest It Woman, but instead he wound up staring straight at a life sentence with a global scam artist,” the writer said.
Chopra’s in-laws and friends from Bollywood industry were quick to slam the article and stood fully in support of the newlyweds. Nick Jonas’ brother Joe Jonas took to Twitter to express his detestation, calling the article disgusting.
Game of Thrones star and his fiancee, Sophie Turner, also stood in solidarity and blatantly called the publication out.
Bollwood diva Sonam Kapoor also joined the bandwagon to bring the publication down, deeming the article incredibly sexist, and racist.
Vinta Nanda, veteran writer-producer, also pointed out the writer’s delusions, and remarked over how much in love the groom seems with Chopra.
Actress Swara Bhasker also took to twitter to brazenly address the issue, and also added a well-deserved jab at the journalist.
Arjun Kapoor, Chopra’s Gunday costar, also defended Priyanka by explaining how knows her personally, and called the journalist racist and frustrated.
On this side of the border, Reham Khan also maintained the stance and called the speculations plain spiteful.
Chopra’s fans were quick to stand up for their queen and stating the obvious, in a joke format.
And while everyone was waiting for Priyanka to give the journalist a piece of her mind, the actress finally reacted in a graceful manner.
After facing this severe backlash, The Cut has posted an apology on their website.
“Last night, the Cut published a post about Nick Jonas and Priyanka Chopra’s relationship that shouldn’t have gone up. We’ve received dozens of messages from readers expressing their anger. We want you to know that we hear you and we’re sorry. The whole piece missed the mark. There is no good explanation for this other than human error and poor judgement. This was a mistake, and we apologize to our readers and to Priyanka and Nick.”
People are still not taking it well, and calling the whole act very shameful and disgusting. Despite it all, the couple is busy living their best life, while spiteful people continue to find reasons to hate. What do you think of this article? Do you agree with the journalist’s stance, or is it just another publicity stunt? Go off in the comments.
